This book sets out to tell an alternative history of Greek cinema in thirty four “scenes”. Each chapter focuses on a date from the 20th century and uses it as an incitement for fresh critical storytelling. The contributors thus offer a novel perspective on issues that have long preoccupied Greek film history – genres, stars, audiences, festivals, studios, the important artistic and technological milestones.
